Here is what I imagined when I wrote the song ... 

The dance floor. The last dance.
You’ve been here before with others but never quite like this. The conversation is easier. Actual stories of where you both grew up and how you were so scared on that first day of school. There is flirting but it seems like actual compliments and compassion not just practiced lines to try and win you over. 

But you’ve been here before. Right on this line. One side is you alone and the other is the dizzying love-soaked excitement of a first kiss. You’ve run head first into love before only to be let down by your heart’s willingness to trust too quickly. 

The song is coming to and end and you don’t know if you should move in closer or just move on because you're Almost In Love.
