This is supposed to be fun. It's not supposed to be frustrating. — Jeff Hunt

This is supposed to be fun. It's not supposed to be frustrating. — Jeff Hunt

In this week’s episode we talk to Jeff Hunt. Jeff has a full-time day job but in his spare time he creates board games. He describes how he created his biggest and most ambitious game to date that uses over 250 pieces and is designed for up to 6 people to play. And … it was the first game he decided to make. We talk through the design process where he chooses the elements and the philosophies he wants to include, his experience play testing his game with almost 30 people, the importance of understanding different player types and what it was like to pitching to game publishers for the first time.

Whether you play tabletop games or not I’m sure you’ll find today’s talk about the creative process interesting.

Did anything in today’s talk make you think of someone you know? I would take it as a great compliment if you’d share it with them. You can send them this episode by using the short URL TheSparkAndTheArt.com/36
