Hello and welcome to the 66th episode of The Spark & The Art creativity podcast. The weekly podcast where we alternate between interviews with creative folks at all levels of their careers and insight and inspiration episodes. This week is an interview with designer and business coach Chase Reeves.

I’ve been following chase for a while now and felt pretty lucky to have him as a guest on the show. I’m sure he felt the same way (lol,  probably not, winkie face). Chase is a co-founder of the entrepreneur community at Fizzle.co and started out as designer in a few startups and design agencies. As you’ll hear in this super honest interview he had to strike out on his own in order to feel like he could really make a difference. As he describes it he was "un-employable". It’s a bit of a shorter interview that normal but it’s jam packed with the good stuff. The majority of the chat is the power of choosing to be yourself and the journey it can take to get to the point where you can unashamedly just be who you are.

Do you ever feel like you are ‘afflicted' with a creative life? Do people around you accept you for who you are when you are your most creative or do feel like you have to change to fit into their world? If you have a story of when you felt most comfortable with creative friends I’d love to hear about it. How did it come about? Did it just happen or was it something you had to work at for a while? If you’d like to share the story with me Leave your name and website addres and your story at the toll-free number 1-877-966-4886 and I’ll play one or two of them on an upcoming show.

If you know of someone you think could use a little help with being themselves and are hiding who they are to the detriment of their creative self I’d love if you shared this episode with them. Hopefully they’ll get a bit of insight into the importance of letting themselves be more of themselves.

Thanks for listening and remember: you won’t get the art without the work and you won’t do the work without the spark.
