Hello and welcome to the 75th episode of The Spark & The Art creativity podcast. Thank you for subscribing to our weekly podcast, where we alternate between interviews with creative folks from all different career levels and insight and inspiration episodes. All with the intention you’ll get the inspiration you need to get your creative projects started and, more importantly, finished.
I’m your host Tucker and this week is insight and inspiration but a little different than usual. Since I started this podcast I had never really thought about writing a book of any kind. The reason I do a podcast is that I prefer talking over writing. The irony is that all of these short 'just me’ episodes are written out before hand and then I read them back during recording. The reason for this is that when I talk I have a tendency to jump from idea to idea and writing it down first helps me keep things a little more concise (for example I just stared at the ceiling for about 20 seconds while I tried to figure out the word concise. Aren’t you glad you didn’t have to listen to my nose whistle into the microphone while I spaced out?)
So, with that all being said I wrote a little ebook. It’s about 13 pages and it’s called The Three Most Difficult Simple Things guaranteed to forever change your creative work. I wrote it because I wanted something to give away for free when people signed up to the mailing list at TheSparkAndTheArt.com. Previously it was the commentary edition of my 5 song music ep Born To The World. I still offer that series of emails and free music downloads the day following the ebook download so people can still hear those 5 days of songs and stories if their interested. But the ebook is my current big freebie.
The ebook has The Three Most Difficult Simple Things guaranteed to forever change your creative work as well as two bonus tips to help keep yourself motivated so you can get your stuff done.
Today’s episode is about those Three Most Difficult Simple Things and if you’d like to download the ebook and follow along you can signup at TheSparkAndTheArt.com/ebook.
Like I said you can get the ebook with those three very difficult simple things as well as the two bonus motivation tips by visiting TheSparkAndTheArt.com/ebook and signing up with your email address. Also, I’d stopped sending out emails for the podcast and I’ve put together a plan to make the emails more useful. They will come out once a month and will have links to the most recent podcast episodes but also a few of the most popular articles and information I’ve found around the internet.
If you found today’s episode helpful the easiest way to help the show is to leave an honest rating and review in iTunes and I’ve created a shortcut for you if you visit TheSparkAndTheArt.com/iTunes it will take you straight to the show.
If you think this episode will help someone you know who needs a little help or reminder about what it takes to get their projects done I’d love it if you shared this episode with them. You can send them the url TheSparkAndTheArt.com/75 there are also links to all the things we’ve talked about in this episode on that page.
If you've already subscribed to the email list and you would like a copy of the ebook get me on twitter @SparkArtPodcast and I'll gladly send you copy.
Thank you for listening and remember: you won’t get the art without the work and you won’t do the work without the spark.
